Weekly Update - May 20th

This week at Miller, we are preparing to use our best audience skills for the Houck band and orchestra who will be performing for us tomorrow at 1:30.

Also, our first graders are headed to Sodexo this week to see how our school lunches are made.  This is a great learning opportunity made possible by the funding of field trips through our Parent Teacher Team.  Thanks PTT!

I wanted to remind you of a change made to the district calendar, which is school on Friday.  On the initial calendar, there was no school on Friday due to a furlough day.  However, because of available funding, that day was able to be reinstated as a school day.  There will be school on Friday and there will NOT be school on Monday due to the holiday.

Kindergarten will be visited by OMSI and get to experience hands-on science on Friday.

Finally, get your pencils and paper, because I have a few reminders for you.

  1. Fifth grade parents still need to pick up medications that students took to outdoor school. Meds cannot be given to students to take home.
  2. Be sure to turn in your pre-registration forms if you have not done so yet.  This helps us get an accurate count for the next school year.
  3. Please be sure to turn in your box-tops for education if you still have them around the house.

Thanks for reading and have a great week!
