We are working hard to keep the focus on teaching and learning through the end of the school year.  This week at Miller, we are having an assembly on Friday focused on the students who have excellent optimism.  We are excited to celebrate these awesome rays of sunshine for our school.

Next Monday is fifth grade recognition.  We will be recognizing the strengths of each fifth grader, seeing some great video clips and photos from the year, and celebrating the time they spent here at Miller.  The fifth grade recognition will be here in the Miller Gym on June 8th at 2:00 in the afternoon.

Also, our last day of school will be June 9th and will be a celebration that includes field day.  If you have any time on June 9th and have completed a background check, we could use your help!  Please connect with the school if you would like to volunteer.

Please also remember to pick up any medications from the office before the last day of school; they will be properly disposed of on June 10.

Finally, I want you know about some graffiti that was left here over the weekend.  It was a rather large piece of vandalism under the covered area.  The police and our security department were notified about the vandalism and it is under investigation.  The facilities department removed it first thing Monday morning.  There are no further concerns against the school at this time and we are proceeding with our normal excellent safety measures.
