Weekly Update - March 3, 2015

This week at Miller, we are celebrating the birthday of famous children’s author, Dr. Seuss.  On Thursday, students and staff are invited to dress like their favorite book character.  Parents, please be sure character costumes do not include masks or weapons.  Those who dress up like a book character on Thursday will be entered into a drawing for a book fair gift certificate!

That leads me to my next reminder—the book fair will be Monday through Thursday next week, which means it will be open for our AWESOME Celebration of Learning!  The Celebration of Learning will feature excellent work from every student in our school, displayed for all to see.  Additionally, the book fair will be going, our band and choir will perform, and we will be giving out certificates for food from Nachos Locos.  Mark it on your calendar!  The Celebration of Learning will start at 5:00 and end at 6:30 and it is next Thursday, March 12.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Also, I wanted to report back that McTeacher’s Night was a big success!!  With your support, we raised (drum roll please) $1130 for Outdoor School—WAY TO GO TEAM!

Also, if your child is in Honor Choir, the performance for that group is next Tuesday at North High School at 6:30 in the evening.

Finally, please remember we do not have school on Friday so teachers can complete grades.
