At Parent Teacher Team last night, we made some plans for amazing events this spring.  Keep listening to this weekly message for updates, or you can check into the events on the Miller PTT Facebook page.

Next, I want to give you an update on attendance.  While our numbers look better than last year, there is still room for improvement and this is a way our school is evaluated for effectiveness.  Please be sure to bring your child to school on time each day as a way to make sure they aren’t missing any days or feeling left behind.  Our current overall attendance rate is 94.7%, and Ms. Rost and I would like to see it land at over 95%--let’s do this, team!

Also, you may have read in the Statesman Journal about vision screening happening across our district.  Our day for vision screening is Tuesday, February 16.

Finally, I want to let you know about an upcoming Miller event.  We are having a fundraiser at Pietro’s Pizza as a way to raise money for the yearbook project.  We hope to get yearbooks to each student at no cost to families this year, and this fundraiser will go directly to that project.  Please put in on your calendar for Thursday, February 18 from 5:30 to 8:00 in the evening.  Pietro’s is at the corner of Market and Hawthorne.  See you there!
