The big event this week is Read Across America Day!  Tomorrow is Read Across America day and we are celebrating Dr. Seuss and the importance of reading with guest readers, reading rotations, and a schoolwide pajama day!  Please be sure your child wears pajamas that are appropriate for PE and the playground.  Thanks so much!

Also this week, there is a family movie night on Thursday.  The movie will be the Minion Movie; there is no charge for admission and concessions are available for purchase. Doors open at 6:15 and the movie starts at 6:30.  Please be sure to bring lawn chairs or blankets as there is no seating provided.  Again, movie night is this Thursday, March 3.

Also, I want to remind you that there is no school on Friday, March 4.  That’s this Friday, March 4. It is a grading day.

Next week is a big week when we are planning special events, just for the entertainment of all of you!  On Thursday, we are holding our first annual Miller Talent Show from 4:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon.  There is no charge for admission: we are accepting at will donations for our Miller Yearbook.  After that, from 5:00 to 7:00, we will hold our second annual Celebration of Learning!  OUr school will be transformed into a “Museum of Learning” with work displayed from ALL of the learners here at Miller.  In addition, we are sending home postcards this week to households that we will add to the work on the walls, so be sure to watch for the postcards to arrive, get it filled out and returned to school!  Again, the fun starts on Thursday at 4:00 with the Talent Show and continues with the Celebration of Learning from 5-7.

Finally, I want to give you a heads up that conferences are coming.  They will be on the 16th and 17th of March.  Watch for scheduling information coming home in Tuesday folders.
