This week, we have kicked off the 2015-2016 school year!  We are thrilled to have the students back in school and for our building to be filled with teaching and learning.  We have begun MOVING to greatness!

Next week, on Monday, we will have our first PTT meeting of the year.  PTT stands for Parent Teacher Team and is the Parent Club for Miller.  Our meetings this year will have an educational focus and for this Monday, our two school psychologists, Jed Thomas and Kyle Alexander, will be presenting about how to handle elementary aged tantrums.  The talk should be really informational with some tips on handling rough behavior.  The meeting is Monday afternoon at 3:45 and here in the Miller Library.  See you then!

Also coming up is our lockdown drill.  This is a twice annual safety drill to ensure our students and staff know what to do in an unsafe situation.  We will talk to students about the reason for lockdown drills and would appreciate it if you talk with them also.  Thanks!

Finally, be sure to take note that Kindergartners start school on Monday.  Watch for little people as you drive around the school and be sure to use extra caution.  We can’t wait for them to get here!
